  • List of contents from the owner (if the owner packed the goods)
  • Receipts goods owned used for minimum 12 months.
  • Household goods personal effects qualify duty-free entry. This is if the shipper owned used them for minimum twelve (12) months before importation.
  • If all the required documents are in order, the client can clear the goods before their arrival.

Any alcohol brought into Australia must be declared and is subject to duty/GST. Charges are calculated on the following:

  • Value of each bottle
  • Percentage of alcohol content

    • Customer must comply with any road safety requirements imposed by the Administrator of Vehicle Standards
    • Prior to arrival in Australia, all imported vehicles, including motor vehicles, motorcycles, caravans, and trailers, must have individual “Vehicle Import Approval.”
    • Submit a “Vehicle Import Approval” application to the Vehicle Safety Standards office in Canberra before your vehicle’s arrival for early clearance.
    • Importing motor vehicles into Australia applies strict regulations, and no duty/GST free concessions are available. All motor vehicles will incur duty and/or GST based on their value.
    • High-value vehicles will have a Luxury Car Tax

    • All vehicles must meet Australian Design Regulations, often necessitating costly modifications certified by an accredited Australian automotive engineer to meet the required standards.
    • The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) inspects all arriving vehicles and mandates proper steam cleaning. The customer should remove all soil and any other matter from your vehicle (including and especially the underside) prior to its exportation.
    • Customer must be in Australia at time of auto clearance to avoid bonded storage charges and demurrage
    • Left-hand driven vehicles subject to temporary permit from department of road safety
